In addition to running a cafeteria for a population of 1800, Chris is in charge of Time Warner’s luxury conference center’s culinary operation- now open to the public. Some of the volunteer work and non-profit organizations he is involved in include: Slow Food International, a non-profit eco-gastronomic organization founded to counteract fast food and fast life; St. Paul’s House, a local food bank; Brooklyn Bee Keeping; East New York Children’s Community Garden and Sean Casey’s Animal Shelter. His Bring Your Kids to Work Day is very popular. This year the theme will be recycling and healthy snacks. From house made granolas to programs teaching guests about diabetes and food, Chris is a role model for his team. |
