Meet Kori: Associate Spotlight Vol. VIII

Kori Whitten

Kori is a Director of Environmental Services with Crothall Healthcare. Kori joined Compass Group in 2008 as an Operations Manager and also held the role of Assistant Director prior to being placed in her current position. Kori is known for being a great teammate, a good-hearted person, and for always bringing a can-do attitude to her accounts.

Describe your proudest moment at Compass so far.
My proudest moment at Compass Group so far was when I was nominated to the Crothall Healthcare President’s Council and recognized for meeting budget, completing standard operating procedure audits, and receiving high patient satisfaction scores.

What is the best career advice that you have ever received?
Learn to follow-up and take care of business so that issues don’t have to be escalated.

What made you smile at work today?
My staff works with such a positive attitude that it brightens my whole day and makes me smile. I sincerely enjoy working with my team, supporting their development, and seeing them interact with patients.

Who have been the most influential people in your career at Compass Group?
I have been fortunate to work for leadership that has invested in my career development. Also, previous directors have mentored me on how to best treat associates and manage effectively.

What is the most unusual job you’ve ever had?
When I was in high school, I worked as an elf at a local Santa booth. Happy Holidays, everybody!
